Cheese and Wine Workshops

Cheese and Wine Workshops with our in-house Cheese and Wine Experts!

Our workshops are an opportunity to learn all about the art of matching cheese and wine in a fun and informative way.

Sessions run for a minimum of 2 hours and are hosted by our experienced cheesemongers.

We usually co-host our events with different wineries or breweries to offer a different experience every time.

We match 6 different cheeses with wines (beer or cider may also be included) and a glass of champagne on arrival for $70.00 per person.

Wednesday 18th April - Meet Winemaker Briony Hoare from Beach Road Wines

Briony Hoare, winemaker at Beach Road Wines will co-host the workshop with us! Her McLaren Vale winery produces small quantities of high quality wines with genuine personality, including some of Australia’s finest Italian varieties.

Briony is an excellent public speaker and a former Australian Young Winemaker of Year and Jimmy Watson Trophy winner.

Tuesday 15th May - Organic Cider & Cheese

The boys from Willie Smiths Organic Cider loved the idea of pairing cheese and cider together so here we are! Discover their long story of cider making and versatile varieties paired with carefully selected cheeses from the cheese room.

Wednesday 20th June - All Saints Estate from Rutherglen

Discover or re-discover All Saints Estate from Rutherglen and their hand crafted wines in production since 1864! Get ready for a wide variety of wines including some gorgeous Muscat(s) perfect with cheese!

Saturday 14th July - Bastille Day with a duo of French winemaker and French cheesemonger!

Our yearly Bastille Day celebration of all things French this year comes with a twist as we welcome Robin Querre from Emilian. Robin was born into a winemaking family and grew up on the family estate Château Monbousquet in Saint Emilion. 

He has made wine in France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, England, Japan, Israel, United States and Australia. Emilian was established in 2016 producing minuscule quantities – 400 bottles to 1200 bottles – of outstanding wine made from premium Yarra Valley fruit.
