THE CHEESE ROOM
We have carefully selected a range of 'benchmark' cheeses that we mature and care for in our Cheese Room. Selection is important, and we work very closely with small dairies in Australia and overseas to find the best and most interesting cheeses available. However, without the right maturation conditions it is easy to spoil any good cheese. Fortunately our purpose built maturation rooms have controlled humidity and temperature to ensure our cheeses are ripened until they reach the peak of their flavour.
After cheese, service is our other great passion. The staff in the Cheese Room are all 'cheese professionals' and will advise and educate you as to which cheese is great at the moment and why.
Most of the traditional cheeses we sell are hand-made and unlike mass-produced cheeses they often vary a great deal in the way that they taste. We celebrate these interesting differences and encourage you to taste before you buy to make sure you get the cheese you want.

We can supply you with a cheese board as a stunning Cheeseroom Platter, perfect for boardroom functions or after work drinks. Our Larder staff can advise you on perfect matches for your Winter, Spring, Summer or Autumn cheese; including bread, biscuits and fruit as well as Larder goodies, such as Caramelised Fig & Quince Preserve, British Cucumber Pickle, home-made quince paste and more...
We also sell an extensive range of premium wines many chosen for their special compatability with cheese.
